Kenya: a Goat for Christmas Dinner

On Christmas Eve the whole family comes together to have an opulent Christmas dinner. It is up to the children to clean the mess afterwards. Also the decoration of the house is their responsibility.

On the 25th of December traditionally a goat is butchered and the meat is shared out between the members of the family. Before the Kenyans sing and dance until early morning they walk from hause to house to say 'Merry Christmas' to each others.
